Learning French can be as pleasant as a stroll through a vineyard in France with learning software French law. On 3 are extensively reviewed considered the best, so one is right for you.
# 1 Rosetta Stone French
Rosetta Stone are probably the most famous France's learning software manufacturers today, after being around for a while. Rosetta Stone method of teaching is through immersion, there is no translation provided. This method works very well for some people, although some find the lack of direct translation a bit frustrating. Another drawback to the Rosetta Stone is very formal manner in which students are taught to speak, thinking about teaching a person who does not speak English Queen's English. If you do not have these rough spots and you can afford the expensive price, then Rosetta Stone may be for you.
# 2 Pimsleur French
Pimsleur French was the first French learning software I used in my journey of learning French, and I can say it was definitely a big start it. Pimsleur focuses only on getting to speak French, without regard to their reading / writing, I had to learn elsewhere. Pimsleur is probably not for most people because of this, along with the frankly ridiculous price of over $ 800 dollars for the whole thing (I have about the loans that of a person, obviously a lot richer than me). I can not say I do not regret using Pimsleur at all, but if you're considering using it you will have to learn to read and write in French elsewhere.
# 3 Rocket French
Rocket French is relatively new French learning software, one that took a couple of years ago after I had finished Pimsleur. Rocket French has several different components to it, one is an audio section is very similar to Pimsleur, another is writing / reading of the section is quite good, and some software games that focus on building your speaking vocabulary and grammar. Sometimes I wish I had found the first rocket, as it is almost everything a beginner needs, and is also the most affordable learning software French in the list. Defects are that the audio section is not as wide as Pimsleur, but this is compensated by the other sections and affordability.
Final Thoughts
I hope this is helpful, any of these courses are great and you’d do well to go with any of them, though I think the Rocket French Software will be the most useful for beginners.
