Here are a few basic phrases and explanations of when and in what situations would be used. Practice saying it aloud and try to match with pronunciation.

TEACH YOURSELF BASIC FRENCH QUOTES | "Bonjour" – "Bonsoir" – "Bonne nuit":

Bonjour (Bohn-zhoor)

Hello / Good morning

Say "Bonjour" when you are first meeting someone that day. Traditionally, one might say "Bonjour" only if it is still light, but sometimes is used only if it is strictly before 6:00 pm. You can simply say "Bonjour" or you can add a title or customizing others later.
